Renault is a French-based global auto manufacturer with a favourable market position in Europe and Latin America. Renault has direct equity investments in Nissan Motor Corporation, and both companies benefit from an alliance (that also includes Mitsubishi Motors Corporation), allowing them to leverage the scale of around 6 million vehicles by sharing platform infrastructure, capacity, and R&D.
Renault also has a significant sales financing division in addition to a mobility division (primarily in European locations), focusing on carpooling, carsharing, and short-term rentals.
