Penn Virginia Resource Partners, L.P. (PVR) is a Pennsylvania-based limited partnership whose initial public offering was completed in October 2001. Active in the coal royalty business since 1882, it operates in the United States by entering into long-term leases with third-party operators. PVR diversified its business to include natural gas midstream activities through the March 2005 acquisition of natural gas assets in Oklahoma and Texas.
