On 21 January 2009, Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Limited (formerly known as Anglo Irish Bank Corporation Limited) was taken into a period of public ownership. On 29 June 2011, the EC, under State Aid Rules, approved the restructuring plan of the Bank which envisions full resolution of the Bank by 2020.
