DBRS Ratings Limited Publishes Six Corporate Finance Methodologies on a Request for Comment Basis

DBRS Ratings Limited is today requesting comments on the following corporate global methodologies and criteria:

(1) Rating Companies in the Merchandising Industry;
(2) Rating Companies in the Regulated Electric, Natural Gas and Water Utilities Industry;
(3) Rating Project Finance;
(4) Rating Solar Power Projects;
(5) Rating Wind Power Projects; and
(6) DBRS Criteria: Rating Holding Companies and Their Subsidiaries.

DBRS Ratings Limited is requesting comments prior to usage of these global methodologies and criteria in Europe. DBRS Ratings Limited does not currently issue any ratings using these methodologies and criteria, although the expectation is that it will do so in the future. There is, therefore, no effect on any ratings.

Comments should be received on or before January 20, 2017. Please submit comments to the following email address: Corporate.Finance.Comments@dbrs.com. DBRS Ratings Limited publishes on its website all comments received except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondent.

DBRS Ratings Limited is also archiving certain methodologies that were previously approved for use in Europe as follows. These methodologies will remain in use for DBRS Limited and DBRS, Inc.

(1) Rating Companies in the Engineering and Construction Industry,
(2) Rating Companies in the Forest Products Industry,
(3) Rating Companies in the Capital Goods Dealership Industry,
(4) Rating Companies in the Mining Industry,
(5) Rating Companies in the Oil and Gas Industry,
(6) Rating Companies in the Oilfield Services Industry and
(7) Rating Container Terminal Operators.
