DBRS Publishes Updated North American Single-Asset/Single-Borrower Methodology

DBRS published an updated “North American Single-Asset/Single-Borrower Methodology.”

The methodology, effective as of the date of this press release, supersedes the methodology released under the same title in March 2017.

The updates consist of a slight change to the sizing hurdles (to be more conservative) at the B rating category and further expounds on adjustments to DBRS net cash flow that would allow for situations where properties are newly built, in transition, operating as a specialty use or otherwise underutilized.

The methodology does not set forth any material changes from the previous methodology. DBRS has not and will not take any rating actions on outstanding securities as a result of the methodology update.
